The Lendery’s new Adventure Zone offers community members an opportunity to check out bikes, bike accessories, sporting equipment, outdoor gear, and more.
The new program is dedicated to boosting the health and well-being of Stouffville residents, a recent press release explained.
The Library has already seen tremendous response since the program launched at their Discovery Day on June 17.
“The bikes have been particularly popular, and as the weather becomes more inviting, we anticipate an even greater turnout,” Maxwell Batista, the Library’s Marketing & Communications Coordinator, told us.
Like the Lendery, the program is funded by a Federal “Canada Healthy Communities Initiative” grant.
“Through the Adventure Zone, we aim to enhance community well-being, inspire a sense of belonging, and build positive relationships while providing equitable access to sports equipment,” says Margaret Wallace, CEO of the Whitchurch-Stouffville Public Library.
The only thing residents need to access Lendery and Adventure Zone offerings is a valid library card.
While the Lendery is open year-round, the Adventure Zone will be open throughout the summer, weather permitting, as follows:
Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
