Bullet Point News was joined by country singer-songwriter Alexa Goldie to discuss her music and upcoming performance at Stouffville’s Ribfest.
The Nashville-based musician was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario, and has been crafting original songs since she was 10 years old.
Inspired by Taylor Swift, Goldie is renowned for her emotive breakup tracks.
Approaching 200,000 Spotify streams, Goldie’s latest single, “He Would,” shines as a poignant country ballad that deeply resonates with listeners.
Her recent achievements include clinching the top spot in the CMTC International Singing Competition, being featured on the Nashville Sign, and securing a finalist position in the “Unsigned Only” songwriter competition.
“You can’t just sit and wait for something to happen, you have to make it happen yourself,” Goldie says of making one’s way in the music industry. “So if you want to give it a go, I just say go for it: start writing, start performing.”
Goldie will be on Memorial Park’s main stage this Saturday, playing a solo set from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
“If you like…upbeat nineties country, maybe a little bit of pop influence, maybe a little bit of classic rock, then you will enjoy my set,” Goldie promises Saturday’s Ribfest attendees. “It’s going to be a fun time.”
