After considering options that would have seen the now Town-owned heritage building maintained, Stouffville will raze the structure to grow Civic Square and reprogram the space.

After boosting bus service and introducing On-Request Gormley in 2024, York Region Transit will focus on expanding On-Request service in Stouffville and Vandorf as part of its 2025 Annual Plan.

Following today’s approved motion from Councillor Sue Sherban, Town Staff will issue a Request for Tender this fall for infrastructure work required to secure whistle cessation approvals.

Council unanimously approved expansions to local Community Safety Zones, which are established on roadways near public schools and select parks to address dangerous driving behaviours and enhance public safety.
