- Data Gives Back (DGB) is a self-described social enterprise that offers corporate training and analytical consulting in support of grieving children and families.
- B Corps, or benefit corporations, are for-profit businesses prioritizing social and environmental objectives at the same level as financial and shareholder goals.
- “We believe wholeheartedly that this is the way we should all do business: without profit being the main goal,” says DGB’s founder Joe Lyons-Rising.
- 25% of DGB’s revenue is donated to the Seasons Centre for Grieving Children, which offers free programs for those facing the death of a parent, sibling or close friend.
- “The success of our company is first measured in how we can help children, teens and families find hope and happiness through the extremely painful experiences of grief,” Lyons-Rising explained in a recent DGB press release.
- “As you become a more confident leader through our training and consulting, you also support an important charitable cause,” he added.
- Joe is a mental health advocate, a suicide loss survivor, and author, and he currently serves as a Volunteer Executive Grief Ambassador for the Seasons Centre.
- “DGB would not exist without the dream of helping to support Seasons Centre for Grieving Children on a regular basis,” the press release noted.
- “I am so grateful to my clients. Thanks to them, we have helped over 50 children since our start in 2020,” Lyons-Rising says proudly.
