Steer Friends will host the 3rd annual “Steering for Steer Friends” Charity Car Show at the Markham Fair Grounds this Saturday.
The event started as a casual weeknight affair and has grown to fill the four indoor buildings and the grounds of the Markham Fair.
Thousands of spectators and over 500 classic and luxury cars will fill the Markham Fair Grounds while building community and raising funds for Steer Friends.
Located in Stouffville, Steer Friends is a non-profit offering daytime programming for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities to inspire, empower, and enrich their lives.
For 8 hours a day, Steer Friends provides personal and medical care alongside entertaining and interactive activities.
The show promises to be a fun and entertaining event for the whole family. Admission is $10, and children under 16 are free.
Entertainment will include a kids zone, the York Regional Police Motorcycle Demonstration, York Regional Fire Department conducting practice extractions from burning vehicles, and Special Guest Dave Kindig from Motortrend TV.
Chuck’s Roadhouse, Eatzza Ma Pizza, Mr. Treas Ice Cream, Ono Poke Bar, The Lion’s Markham Fair booth, and Little Lou’s Hot Dog on Wheels will be serving up meals on site.
The event starts at 9:00 a.m. at 10801 McCowan Road on June 24.
