- Main Street will be closed from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on August 19 to make room for the inaugural Stouffville Summer Street Festival.
- More than ten performers will bring live music to multiple locations along Main Street, including Good Little Robot, Evan Farrell, The Everflowing, and Jerome Tucker Band.
- Lazo Finn, winner of the Best Reggae Recording Juno award in 2000, is headlining the event.
- Additionally, 58 vendors, businesses, and social groups have already registered for the event. The complete list of those participating can be seen here.
- This family-friendly festival will also include carnival games, caricature artist Cartoon Bob, magician Magic Pete, and the “Rock Around The Clocktower” silent disco.
- “With lots of live music, street vendors, games, food, and fun, how could you not have a great time in The Village of Stouffville on August 19!”, Stouffville Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Karen Wootton said.
- “Epidemic Music Group has done a great job of lining up some amazing musical acts,” she added. “We are so excited to bring this great event to Main Street, and we invite everyone to shop local while they are here.”
- This free event is supported by funding from Central Counties Tourism, Hyson Properties, TD Bank, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville, and York Region.
