Hundreds of antique and classic cars will cruise into Vandorf this Sunday for the Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum’s golden anniversary Antique & Classic Car Show.
Residents can enter their own vehicle with no preregistration required: arrive between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. to be admitted onto the grounds.
Five prize categories will consider cars from various eras, including antique, early, middle, and late classic vehicles, as well as a general truck category.
The Car Show always highlights a featured car, with a rare 1973 De Tomaso Pantera on the docket this year. Produced in Modena, it’s one of just over 7,000 made by the Italian manufacturer.
“Enjoy the Ride: Celebrating 50 Years,” a running special exhibit in the Museum’s Visitor’s Centre, puts half a century of Car Show history on full display with images, artifacts, and numerous Canadian car stories from the Canadian Automotive Museum.
Beyond classic vehicles, food trucks, live entertainment, face painting, a scavenger hunt, an on-site caricaturist, and access to the Museum’s many exhibits and heritage buildings offer something for the whole family.
Admission to the event is free for all and runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Whitchurch-Stouffville Museum is located at 14732 Woodbine Avenue.
