Whitchurch-Stouffville Council Wrap-Up: April 5, 2023
  • Council approved a three year, $822,075 contract to P.A. Catch Basin Cleaning Services Inc. for the cleaning and disposal of collected materials from Stouffville’s 3,500 catch basins.
  • The Town will assume responsibility for public roads, streetlights, signage, water mains, sewers, street trees, and a stormwater management facility in the subdivision area northeast of Baker Hill and Millard.
  • After further consideration, Stouffville will remain a non-proclamation town but will notify those seeking proclamations of the application process for raising a flag in Memorial Park.
  • Council approved the Town taking over processing responsibilities for municipal parking tickets from the Province.
  • Sunny Bains was formally appointed Town CAO, and interim CAO Bill Snowball was returned to his role as Stouffville’s Fire Chief.
  • Council addressed multiple HR matters in closed session.
