The Stouffville Mustangs U14 Soccer Team emerged victorious in their summer season opener, securing a 2-1 win against the Kleinburg Nobleton Soccer Club.

Team captain Karthick Thushanthan scored both of the Mustangs’ goals, one of which was a penalty kick.

“It was hard fought win for us this evening,” Coaches Shaun Henson & Fadi Blaney told Bullet Point News. “We have been training hard for 3 weeks, 5 nights per week… We deserved this win.”

The Club’s U14 players now have access to a running coach, nutritionist, physiotherapy, and strength and conditioning facilities.

SSC’s local partners include Stouffville Physio, Functional Strength and Therapy, nutritionist Shana Daniel from Wellnessessity, and local running coach Brittany Dunbar.

The team is now preparing for next Thursday’s match against a talented Thornhill Soccer Club team. “It will test our efforts once again,” the two coaches said.
