Stouffville’s Memorial Park will come alive with orchestral sound tonight as the Kindred Spirits Orchestra headlines the Town’s second annual Symphony Under the Stars.

York Region has confirmed its first positive mosquito test for West Nile Virus this year in Vaughan. Public Health conducts seasonal monitoring and encourages residents to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds and take protective measures.

York Region has begun resurfacing a portion of York Durham Line, closing the road between Bethesda Sideroad and Main Street. It’s part of a larger project that includes replacing aging infrastructure and handling asbestos-containing asphalt.

Construction is underway on a new trail and bridge connecting Madori Park to Ken Betz Court, replacing an informal footpath across Little Rouge Creek with a permanent and more accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists.
