York Region has seen a notable drop in violent and property crime so far in 2025, according to new data released by York Regional Police.

An information session held Thursday invited residents of Musselman’s Lake to weigh in on transportation and safety challenges in the area. Ideas discussed included a new connecting road and proposed one-way operations on Ninth Line, with mixed feedback.

York Region Transit is launching a one-year trial of weekend Route 9 bus service in Stouffville starting June 29. Riders should also prepare for fare increases set to take effect on July 1.
