Stouffville’s Mayor For The Day Contest Returns

Local students in grades 5-7 can enter for a chance to shadow Mayor Lovatt for a day, open a Council meeting, and take a ride in a firetruck.

The move follows the Town’s unsuccessful application to the Federal Housing Accelerator Fund program.

Metrolinx is reintroducing nighttime rail service for Stouffville GO passengers beginning April 27, but some service reductions are coming with it.

As of December 31, 2023, the Town had a $94,900 operating surplus with 34.8% of its capital budget deployed.

The project will utilize the much debated 6343 Main Street property east of the Square.
