- Muddy York Brewing Co., a staple of the Stouffville Market, has formally announced their upcoming taproom location in the old post office building at 6297 Main Street.
- An extensive renovation of the historical building and its 6,500 square foot interior will include a full kitchen, bar, dining area, patio, retail, event space, and production facility.
- Approximately 110 seats are planned for indoor section of the new facility with the patio accommodating roughly 60 seats.
- Hoping to open in spring of 2024, co-owners Susan Michalek and Jeff Manol are looking to build on successes from their first location in East York.
- “Since opening our taproom doors in 2016, our [first] location…has catered to a lively array of families, friends, and local community members that has made the space homey, warm and inclusive,” Michalek stated in a recent press release.
- “The new location will become a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike by being a unique place to gather, dine, and enjoy locally-made beer,” Manol added. “We’re aiming to become a community anchor.”
- Mayor Iain Lovatt expressed enthusiasm for the new Main Street location, as well. “Our residents have grown to love Muddy York through their presence at numerous events over the years…I know I am not the only one who is looking forward to them having a permanent home in Stouffville,” he said.
- Muddy York Brewing Co. is a family-run brewery that has been handcrafting award-winning beers since 2013.
