- Over 40 gardeners lined-up early yesterday before the doors opened up at the annual Christ Church of Stouffville Plant Sale on Sunrise Ave.
- The organizers were anticipating a few hundred people to visit but within 20 minutes of opening the doors, more than 75% of the plants and gardening implements were sold.
- Backyard gardeners were loading up carts and filling their cars with seedlings, cuttings and houseplants to take back to their gardens on the sunny Saturday morning.
- This annual event, organized by Gail Wood, has become well known amongst the gardening community and raises funds for the church.
- Large unique hostas and succulents were quickly bought-up.
- Plants are donated by residents who are splitting up their gardens and want to share plants and flowers that have been successful in their gardens.
