- Tim Hortons’ Holiday Smile Cookie campaign is underway, with two local restaurants supporting the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank.
- From today until November 19, 50% of the proceeds from every Smile Cookie sold at the 5534 Main Street and 1030 Hoover Park locations will be donated to Stouffville’s Food Bank.
- 50% of revenue from Holiday Smile Cookie sales at the 5292 Aurora Rd. location in Balantrae will support the Markham Food Bank.
- The remaining 50% will go to Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, which provide under-served youth across Canada with leadership development programming.
- We caught up with Susan Smith and Cathy Robinson, who co-chair the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank Board of Directors. They had just purchased a box of cookies for Food Bank volunteers.
- The Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank continues to experience growing demand. Monthly visits are up nearly 50% over 2022, with the average number of individuals served per month increasing by nearly 60%.
- “As more people visit the Food Bank, we face ever growing operating costs,” Smith told us. “Programs like the Smile Cookie campaign help us feed our clients while offering Stouffville residents a tasty way to support us. We are so thankful for the backing from these Tim Hortons franchises.”
- Smile Cookies can be ordered online for in-store pickup via Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie map. Bulk orders can also be placed by submitting an order form to your preferred location.
