• The Stouffville Celebrates Summer Series returns this year with a packed list of free local events and concerts taking place in Memorial Park:
    • Victoria Day fireworks kick things off tonight at 8 p.m. with food trucks, face painting, glitter tattoos, and more awaiting residents. Fireworks are expected to begin at 9:30 p.m.
    • Art in the Park returns at 11 a.m. on June 8 with 45 participating artists already featured.
    • Fireworks will fill the sky once again during the Town’s first Canada Day celebration. The event begins at 6 p.m. on July 1 with live music and food vendors joining the fun.
    • Symphony Under the Stars, another new addition to the lineup, will feature a performance by the Kindred Spirits Orchestra on July 19. It begins at 8 p.m.
    • There will be two Movies in the Park screenings this year, one on July 26 and the other on August 16. Featured films begin at sundown but have not been announced.
    • Stouffville’s Ribfest is scheduled for Friday, August 9 to Sunday, August 11. Hip-hop artist Maestro Fresh Wes and Canadian country singer Tebey headline this year’s event.
  • The Town’s 19 on the Park Patio Series will not offer advance tickets, moving instead to a first-come, first-served seating policy for the free concerts:
    • Country musician Ben Hudson plays on June 27.
    • Jazz musician Lady Be Good plays on July 27.
    • Cover band Big Shiny ‘90s plays on August 17.
    • Gates open at 7 p.m. with performances beginning at 8 p.m.
