- 146 volunteers will walk the streets of Stouffville the evening of Sat. Feb. 25 not only to raise funds for the hungry and homeless, but to grow in awareness of others’ needs, and share with the less fortunate.
- Some of those walking for funds are those who have received help in the past.
- Brian Reynolds, who has been volunteering for 8 years, says “There’s a lot of warmth that overflows from the cold, and [the walkers] really think ‘Well, that could be me.'”
- Funds go towards giving people food, keeping them warm in the winter, giving them some clean clothes, gently used appliances, and helping them transition from the street to an apartment.
