- In August of 2023, Muddy York Brewing Co. announced plans to expand their brewing operations and open a tap room and eatery in the old post office building at 6297 Main Street.
- Now, due to unforeseen circumstances, the expansion has shifted to a full relocation of Muddy York’s operations to Suite #1 at 50 Innovator Avenue.
- “We are excited about this positive shift for us,” Jeff Manol, Co-Owner at Muddy York Brewing Co., said in a recent press release. “The purchase of our commercial space at 50 Innovator Ave is not just a relocation, it represents a move towards independence.”
- The new space will still include brewing facilities, a tap room, and a food component, however it will not include a full kitchen as was originally hoped.
- “Recent challenges prompted us to seek a space where we can truly build our future without surprises and outside constraints,” Manol added.
- A mezzanine within the new unit will also offer private event space and overflow capacity for the taproom.
- A resolution from Mayor Iain Lovatt approved at the last Council meeting provided a necessary municipal endorsement for Muddy York’s “By the Glass” license application to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. It will enable the brewery to sell and serve alcoholic beverages onsite.
- An opening date for the new location has not yet been announced.
