- Stouffville has announced the opening of its much anticipated Memorial Park Multi-Purpose Trail.
- The 275-metre pathway is now ready for summer walking, scootering, and rollerblading.
- The trail will be ready for winter skating this year, as weather allows.
- The accompanying building is not yet open, with work continuing on washrooms, change rooms, and equipment storage facilities.
- Some green spaces remain fenced off for sod-laying and other work.
- Signage will be displayed to notify visitors of inaccessible areas of the site.
“We are pleased to open the park portion of the Memorial Park Skate Trail and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to finalize this project,” the Town’s website states. “This inclusive space provides a wonderful opportunity for all ages and abilities to engage in recreational activities.”
