- The Golden Hawks led 2-1 at the start of the second period, but Stouffville’s Peter Kioussis swiftly levelled the score.
- Stouffville fought valiantly, successfully defending through multiple penalty kills, and maintained the 2-2 tie through the remainder of the second period.
- Trenton scored early in the third period, but Riley Pope found the net ten minutes later, tying the game at 3-3.
- After forcing the game into overtime, the Spirit unfortunately lost when Lucas Lapalm of the Golden Hawks scored an unassisted game-winner just two and a half minutes in.
- Trenton narrowly outshot Stouffville 34-31, marking the Spirit’s first loss of the season while bringing their record to 2-1.
- The Spirit will host the Haliburton Huskies this Thursday night at the Stouffville Arena, with the game starting at 7:30 p.m.
