• A dog was shot on Friday, June 14, just before 10 p.m. in the area of Bloomington Road and McCowan Road.
  • A homeowner was returning to their house with their two dogs. After exiting the vehicle, both dogs began barking and quickly ran to the side of a garage.
  • One shot was fired, injuring one of the dogs, and two male suspects dressed in dark clothing fled the scene.
  • The YRP Canine Unit provided first-aid to the dog, which is now in stable condition after being taken to a local animal hospital.

  • “Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity, or anyone with a video recording that captured any suspicious activity in the area, to please come forward,” a YRP press release states.
