- Rain brought a slow start to this year’s “Music in the Park” event, but it did not stop families and community members from enjoying live music and a variety of food trucks.
- The rain stopped just after 7 PM, and the park filled up for the headlining act: Juno-nominated singer and songwriter Aysanabee.
- Residents also enjoyed delicious fare from 11 different food trucks.
- Marquees were set up to provide shelter from the weather, with community favourite Caribbean Sounds Steel Pan Music Trio closing out the night.
- The event, formerly known as “Food Truck Frenzy,” was rebranded to focus on live music showcased on the town’s Memorial Park stage.
Thank you to all the people who make these events work. This is what I like about Stouffville. While I understand costs are up everywhere, the prices for food from Food Trucks are just so expensive (not just this event but all events with food trucks in Stouffville). The food trucks here are more expensive than food trucks elsewhere in Markham (Markham Fairgrounds), Toronto, etc. $16-20 for a poutine? Trucks at Markham Fairgrounds about 1.5 months ago were charging $10-14.
