  • Cyclone Freddy recently hit Malawi’s southern region, the nation’s third cyclone in just over a year, resulting in hundreds of casualties and catastrophic damage to homes, bridges, roads, and agriculture.
  • “EIC, with their affiliate office EI Malawi, are working together to support the survivors of the cyclone,” Kristy Nowell, EIC’s Public Engagement Director, told Bullet Point News.
  • “Items like clean water and sanitation, food, shelter, bedding blankets, cups and plates will help those in need,” Nowell continued.
  • In order to raise funds for their relief efforts, EIC is hosting an indoor yard sale in Stouffville from April 11 to April 13.
  • Residents can purchase a range of new and used items to support EIC’s mission by visiting their offices at 3967 Stouffville Road between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
