• LifeLong Learning takes pride in offering “edutainment” through “interesting, educational and entertaining lectures” presented by qualified speakers on a wide range of topics.
  • LifeLong Learning’s Stouffville division was initiated by Harry Renaud in 2018 after he saw how many local residents were attending LifeLong lectures in Markham.
  • The 2023 Spring Series includes the following lectures:
    • April 17 – Renowned gardener Mark Cullen’s “Trees for Heroes”
    • April 24 – Photographer Michael Runtz’s “Algonquin: 4 Seasons Photography”
    • May 1 – Professor Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish’s “I Shall Not Hate – a Gaza Doctor’s Journey”
    • May 8 – Former Stouffville Chamber of Commerce Director Ed Nelles’ “Character”
    • May 15 – Journalist Ellen Roseman’s “How To Be a Smart Consumer”
    • May 29 – Lawyer James Lockyer’s “Wrongful Convictions”
  • LifeLong Learning Stouffville is volunteer based, but ticket sales are needed to cover costs and bring forward these unique learning opportunities.
  • Lectures are currently presented via Zoom, and individual tickets are $42.
  • “These are spectacular speakers with much passion about their seminar topics,” Doug McIntyre, Chair of LifeLong Learning Stouffville, told Bullet Point News.
