LifeLong Learning takes pride in offering “edutainment” through “interesting, educational and entertaining lectures” presented by qualified speakers on a wide range of topics.
LifeLong Learning’s Stouffville division was initiated by Harry Renaud in 2018 after he saw how many local residents were attending LifeLong lectures in Markham.
The 2023 Spring Series includes the following lectures:
April 17 – Renowned gardener Mark Cullen’s “Trees for Heroes”
April 24 – Photographer Michael Runtz’s “Algonquin: 4 Seasons Photography”
May 1 – Professor Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish’s “I Shall Not Hate – a Gaza Doctor’s Journey”
May 8 – Former Stouffville Chamber of Commerce Director Ed Nelles’ “Character”
May 15 – Journalist Ellen Roseman’s “How To Be a Smart Consumer”
May 29 – Lawyer James Lockyer’s “Wrongful Convictions”
LifeLong Learning Stouffville is volunteer based, but ticket sales are needed to cover costs and bring forward these unique learning opportunities.
Lectures are currently presented via Zoom, and individual tickets are $42.
“These are spectacular speakers with much passion about their seminar topics,” Doug McIntyre, Chair of LifeLong Learning Stouffville, told Bullet Point News.
Thank you so much for the great presentations by Marc Cullen and Micheal Runtz. The presentations were most enjoyable.
