What does a Councillor do for the people of Stouffville?
A councillor’s job is to communicate to his ward and provide a solid bridge between the community and town council.
Why would you be good at this job?
I have a long history of getting the job done. I have spent over a period of 28 years giving back to my community with 22000 volunteer hours. A History of Commitment and Dedicated to our future.
What issues are you concerned about?
I have concerns that council is distant from the community in certain areas. I hope my energy can bring back a positive outlook towards our town council. Most importantly finish what we have started and ensure we get it done in a timely fashion.
Why should the people of Stouffville share your concerns?
It is important to communicate with all of Stouffville. If communication improves it will assist us all. A councillor should be keeping the constituents aware of what is happening in the area via newsletter or email along with the social media.
Describe what a successful term with you as Councillor would accomplish?
A successful term on council means working together as a team and ensuring all the ongoing projects get done. There is a lot going on in Whitchurch Stouffville as it is the 2nd fastest going community in Canada I have heard. We must ensure all areas of our community keep informed. We must look at up and coming project and work hard to have a successful term. There are many areas to look at aside from projects that are on going. Other concerns in our community are road safety, environmental, taxes and ensure we improve our commercial/industrial lands to be developed to get the tax base inline.
