- During the COVID-19 pandemic, Patrick Savella, GM of CARSTAR Stouffville, and his father, Pat, used their newly found free time to restore their family’s 1966 Chevy II Nova SS.
- Pat had owned the Nova since he was 18 years old, and over the years it served as a reliable and adored family vehicle.
- After witnessing numerous milestones, the car was eventually relegated to the garage, where it remained untouched for 35 years.
- While Patrick kept his business open during those challenging times, the father-son team decided to give their beloved family vehicle the attention it deserved.
- The car’s unique features, including a 5-speed TKX transmission and a chassisworks front clip, made the restoration project complex and challenging. It took two and a half years to complete.
- “My father has been in the industry for over 45 years,” Patrick said. “This is a huge accomplishment for myself, my dad, and the entire team here at CARSTAR Stouffville.”
- With the Nova back in action, Patrick expressed gratitude for the support they received from friends, family, and co-workers throughout the project: “The countless hours and quality workmanship on the project were truly outstanding, and we can’t thank everyone enough!”
