Kirk Porter tells us that Macpherson Christmas Tree Farm is a small family-run farm that started about 35 years ago which now has 30 acres of trees.
Mainly white spruce, some firs, 300-350 pre-cut firs from Quebec; recently planted some pine.
Trees can drink 1 litre a day in the first week. If the tree dries out, the bottom will seal and it will not take in more water.
The farm is a great family outing with wagon rides, campfires, free hot chocolate, scavenger hunt with candy bag prize, landscaping trail, wooden mini truck, elves, sleigh in the field.
