Stouffville-based start-up, Data Gives Back Inc. (DGB), donates $71K to Seasons Centre for Grieving Children.
DGB, headed by Joe and Carly Lyons-Rising, offers corporate training and analytical consulting in support of grieving children and families.
Joe lost his parents at the age of 10, which had a deep impact on his childhood and teenage development. He knows how grieving kids feel and need.
Seasons Centre offers free peer support groups for youth who are facing the death of a parent, sibling or close friend. The youth have an opportunity to share their thoughts and feelings with peers who are living with a similar experience.
Since DGB has started 2 years ago, they have helped 44 children.
