A Pickering man is facing multiple charges after a shooting damaged a Whitchurch-Stouffville residence last month.

York Regional Police officers responded to reports of shots fired on Harold Avenue, near Ninth Line, shortly after 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026. When police arrived, they found a home had been struck by gunfire.

No injuries were reported.

Following what investigators described as a thorough investigation, YRP executed a search warrant at a residence in Pickering on March 4. As a result, 34-year-old Pirasanna Balasubramaniyam was charged.

Balasubramaniyam faces two counts of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and two charges of uttering threats, along with pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, and possession of property obtained by crime.
