- The York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) has announced formal opening dates for students of the new Multi-Use Facility on Ninth Line.
- After construction delays pushed opening plans back, the Board received keys to the completed facility earlier this month.
- They are now awaiting completion of final safety inspections.
- Provided the building passes those inspections, the opening dates are as follows:
- St. Katharine Drexel Catholic High School students will begin attending on March 6, 2024.
- Blessed Chiara Badano Catholic Elementary School students will begin attending on March 18, 2024.
“These staggered move-in dates will provide a better experience for families and students as everyone becomes accustomed to their new school,” parents were informed in a recent YCDSB announcement. An excursion to the new school for Blessed Chiara Badano students is also being planned for the week of March 4.
Families will receive further details on the transition next week.
