- In collaboration with Fire Chief Bill Snowball, Whitchurch-Stouffville Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 4152, which represents the Town’s full-time fire services employees, is excited to bring back Stouffville’s Haunted Firehouse for Halloween 2023.
- Hundreds of people attended the local event in the years leading up to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has been on hiatus since.
- With its return, guests can once again take a walk through an eerie Station 51 on Weldon Road.
- To ensure everyone can enjoy, Stouffville’s firefighters will guide groups through the firehouse and customize the experience based on age.
- The tour will conclude at the Station 51 bay where loot bags will be handed out and fire services equipment will be on display. If staffing allows, firetruck tours will also be available.
- The event also aims to support the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank, and attendees are asked to donate what they can at the door for entry.
- “We can’t wait for the Haunted Firehouse on Sunday and are so appreciative of the Stouffville Fire team’s support,” Food Bank Co-Chair Susan Smith told Bullet Point News. “They have always been so generous to us and are always willing to help in any way at any time.”
- The Haunted Firehouse will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 29th. Station 51 is located at 100 Weldon Road.
