- Carl Vanseader, President of the Stouffville Lions Club, has been a member since 1979.
- On the first Saturday of each month they collect litter in different regions in Stouffville. Due to the snow, the next meeting will be on Sat. Feb. 11 from 9 am to 11 am at the Tim Horton’s on Hoover Park Drive. “Litter never takes a break so we can’t either, ” says the Chairman of the Club’s Environment Committee.
- On an ongoing basis they collect usable eye glasses to support the Lions Recycle For Sight Program, empty prescription bottles for safe distribution of medicine in overseas countries, and collect pop tabs to assist in the cost of training various service dogs at the Lions Foundation of Dog Guides.
- All money they raise goes straight to the community to anyone who needs it, and they’re always open to new projects.
