- The Stouffville Soccer Club’s U14 Mustangs defeated Barrie 2-1 on September 28 to close out their 2023 outdoor season.
- The team progressed significantly over the summer, finishing with seven wins, a thrilling draw against top-ranked Vaughn, and a long list of strong performances.
- “We had a brilliant season with a huge turning point for this team,” Coach Shaun told Bullet Point News. “Sacrifices were made by parents, families, and—of course—the players to get us where we are.”
- The coaches look forward to participating in the Provincial Indoor Soccer League this winter and encourage Stouffville’s soccer fans to come out and support the local squad.
- “We finished 5th in the table, so now let’s aim for Top 3 in the league this winter,” Mustangs Captain Karthick Thushanthan said, looking ahead to the upcoming indoor season.
- While the team is losing some of their players to the upcoming hockey season, the Mustangs have already begun their recruitment process: “New additions from Markham and Stouffville will
mean another strong U15 Mustangs Soccer team,” Coach Shaun promised. - The Mustangs are in need of a new U15 goalkeeper, in particular, and encourage anyone interested to contact Coach Shaun directly.
- The team is also in search of sponsorship partners and encourage any interested local businesses or other parties to contact Coach Shaun or the Stouffville Soccer Club.
