- Metrolinx has announced an official October 17 opening for the new Old Elm GO station.
- All train and bus service will be routed to the new station at 12958 Tenth Line from that date forward.
- Staff will be available on site to assist riders with the transition on opening day.
- Metrolinx advises customers to check the Stouffville Line schedules as arrival and departure times will shift slightly.
- The new station features:
- Passenger pick-up and drop-off area adjacent to the platform
- Parking for 673 vehicles
- 35 standard bike racks
- Heated shelters and a platform canopy
- A platform snow-melting system
