• Following much local anticipation, COBS Bread Stouffville opened its doors to the community for the first time today.
  • In addition to offering their beloved breads, scones, and other baked treats, COBS also coordinates a charitable giveaway program for their surplus bread.
  • COBS Bread Stouffville is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends.
  • The new store is located in Unit 6 at 1076 Hoover Park Drive.

“We’ve already received a warm welcome from the community and are excited to meet everyone,” shared Rebecca Wright-Baker, Production Manager & Social Media Coordinator for COBS’ Steeple Hill branch, with Bullet Point News.

This morning, Owner Chloe Marche-Allen was photographed alongside Mihali, their first customer. Mihali was soon followed by Houry and Reta, who were proud to be recognized as “The First Moms to Enter the Newest COBS.”

At the end of each day, COBS generously donates all remaining bread to local food banks and charities. They have already initiated partnerships with the Whitchurch Stouffville Food Bank, St. Mark’s Church, and Affordable Market.

We are so grateful for the generosity of the new COBS bakery’s ‘doughnation’ program, and the families we serve are sure to enjoy the bread and baked goods we receive,” Cathy Robinson, Co-Chair of the Whitchurch Stouffville Food Bank, told Bullet Point News.

“COBS is still accepting applications from other charities and nonprofits in the area who are looking to join our end-of-day giving rotation,” Wright-Baker added. “They are welcome to stop by the store and chat with Chloe!”
