- A speed hump can delay fire and emergency services response time by ~30 seconds, more if multiple humps are close together.
- Humps are removed for the winter season, so there are no impacts to winter maintenance services.
- Arterial and collector roads, low-volume roads, and Regional roads are not eligible.
- The 2023 Capital Budget provides enough resources for this and other traffic calming initiatives.
